Great news.

I ended up buying the rebuilt one I found on Ebay.

Ill post the result. It might be the best deal, or I got scammed...

Was it the rebuilt G31 with the limited slip diff? Could be good deal. Keep us posted. Also let me know if you have any install tips. I'm a bit concerned about lining up transaxle with the torque tube and reconnecting the linkage. Tight quarters!

Chuck, the alignment of the TT, gearbox and engine is a snap. The shift linkage is a bitch due to NO ROOM to work. All it takes is perseverance and many new cuss words.

It was bugger coming apart! Took this picture after I was able to push the coupler back far enough.

I'm thinking that the key will be to get everything lined up perfectly. When I removed the transaxle, the rear end was up in the air compared to the front. So now the car is level. I think that should help....combined with getting the transaxle positioned just right on the transmission jack.

I understand the mission. Headed back to the garage.

Then I'll fight with the shift linkage.

I was trying to think of something snarky but you are on the right track.
Enjoy the journey.
