####. Right, swear words get blocked here. Fornicate Under Consent of King.

Not only a rare Chrenan sighting but he came with what appears to be the most incredible restoration I believe any of us will see until these cars quadruple in price.

Rough calculation in US$ and rates.....over $120,000 spent. Absolutely beautiful restoration and documentation.

I shed a tear seeing this poor lowly n/a 924 return to greatness....

For fun? Did I miss the explanation besides the 924 being the neglected stepchild of the Porsche family?

On another note I'd love to do a rotisserie restoration such as this on any of my cars, especially the 928. It would probably cost double or triple the cost, but it would feel soooo good to have them in like new condition again.

I love this kind of restoration, only thing comes to my mind is that with projects like this and amount of time and money people spending on 924, there is big chance that those cars will start going up in the value and I think being 40 years old this year, probably quite a lot.
I am all for it !
I am stacking them up while they are cheap

But not a lot of attention to detail, seems odd to go to those lengths but not complete the small underbonnet clips and fasteners, cam belt cover, decals, side mouldings and spray the sills matt black.

Yep. There are a lot of examples. They recovered the dash but didn't get the buckles out first, the seats & carpet aren't trimmed correctly, etc.

Theres a lot of detail on nonsense & not enough on HOW the repairs were done, it looks like they just covered the rust instead of removed it, put primer directly over metal without the proper undercoat, used cheaper materials on the bottom of the car, etc.

"Car is delivered with an spacer between the spark plug and the cylinder head number #4 in order to reduce engine compression. We are not sure of the reason for this spacer until we perform the engine overhaul at a later time. Without this spacer the engine does not start."

" Broken #4 piston.
#4 cylinder walls out of tolerance and heavily scratched.
#4 Cylinder head deteriorated with metal particles from the piston and segments."

That makes sense.

NOTE
for all of the haters and smart ass guys here-show me the level of your attention to details and hi level of your restoration jobs on those cars.

We can find here few excellent builds but unfortunately most of 924 either here or on other forums is in rather poor condition and fixed on super low budget or no budget at all.

In my opinion this one is the best I have seen so far in 924 world.

I would like to see a volunteer here ,who can came close with the budget, quality of work or documentation of the build as one seen above.

Go ahead and post it and then comment in negative way.

It happened that I am in the business of working on various vintage and classic European cars and I know exactly how much time it takes to make them perfect or as close to perfect as customers budget will allow me to do so.

You know, I can keep polishing one bolt for whole day as long as someone will pay for it

Well sir, if someone puts out a 50 page manual bragging of "aviation standards", spends $120k doing the restoration, shouldn't people expect "flawless"?

I do think they did an excellent job on the documentation.
