So I have the opportunity to purchase an S1 equipped with a snail shell LSD. Question is, will the torque tube bolt directly to the back of the bell housing or is it a different length ? ( I know I will have to swap the torsion bar carrier etc. at the rear of the car.) The reason I ask is because I have a trick 911 aluminum pressure plate that I would like to use but I'm pretty sure it only fits into an S2 bell housing...

You can use the whole TT and gearbox stuff from S1 on S2 without any issue if you'll swap the torsion bar carrier. The only difference between the S1 and S2 castings I've being able to see was the crank sensor mounting surface. _________________ WBR, Shurick
