Hi I'm Stewart. Yes - this is the car; 11.75 VIN and titled as a Group 4 FIA car; a recent barn find of mine....after 6 years trying to become custodian of it ....and debuted at Rennsport this weekend.
The 1st international competition class win for a 924...! _________________ SK.

Wow, very cool! Congrats on your find and perseverance in becoming the new caretaker. An important piece of Porsche history there! _________________ '95 BMW 318i/5 ..."Pearl"

Not as such, it ran a normally aspirated engine in the rally for reliability and longevity - 18885 kms in 14 days over the roughest country and poor quality fuel in remote areas.
But as it was the first international FIA victory for a 924 Barth is quoted as saying it solidified the agenda to proceed with the Carrera GT and Le Mans 924 programs. _________________ SK.

When you have time I, and I'm sure many others, would love to see some more photos of your car, especially engine and interior as well! Thanks! _________________ '95 BMW 318i/5 ..."Pearl"

Thanks for the interest ! I did meet Magnus, he came up to me and said hi as we were unloading the 924 and I'd just arrived in the 901. Super nice guy who loved the '24. _________________ SK.

Here's a period pic in the '79 Repco Round Australia rally taken somewhere in the South Australian outback.
I'll post more pics of the car when it gets home to me..... _________________ SK.

I had an email from Jurgen Barth this week- he shared a whole lot if his personal pics from the '79 round Australia rally which was amazing.
here's one, taken in the middle of the Aussie outback somewhere.
oh- if you're on instagram there are some more pics on my page @historicplates
