A member from Lambopower and I were in contact via phone for quite a while and he has been wanting to come see the progress on my car. He drove his Lamborghini Jalpa all the way down from washington just to see mine. Pretty damn awesome.
Enjoying some morning tea when suddenly the growl of an unmistakable italian v8 shows up at my house, accompanied by a 993.
My car creepin' in the background.
That ass though.
We go to smith rock state park for a cruise, when suddenly... the car stalls and won't start because it's running too rich. I get out, directing traffic while the car clears and Chris can start his car again. In the words of my buddy josh in his 993.... "Nothing is more classic of an italian car moment than this right here."
Lunch at "The Depot" (an old train station turned into a badass restaurant).
Me and Chris doing a crappy selfie.

Very much so. The engine is nearly completed. I haven't posted any updates for quite some time. I'm waiting on pistons, rings, and seals and the engine goes back together.
Fuel system ordered and I have the megasquirt 3 and all the sensors. Need throttle bodies and finish wiring and she'll be ready to fire up. I am ecstatic. _________________ - 1977 Porsche 924 2.0 N/A (Trackday Project)

Where do you find parts for that car? |

Factory, cross referenced random places, online, used parts places, etc etc. I've ended up getting parts from aussie land, germany, italy, etc. I've also had to cross reference an awful lot of stuff. It's a slow process. _________________ - 1977 Porsche 924 2.0 N/A (Trackday Project)

Sounds like a headache. I hope you are satisfied with the end result! I think the whole board would enjoy a little v8 sound video also. |

Eh, it's a pain but it'll be worth the wait. They're fantastic cars, and so few of them left. I like obscure and strange cars. I have wanted one since I was a little kid. Cars are an investment in happiness. _________________ - 1977 Porsche 924 2.0 N/A (Trackday Project)

I've talked to that guy over email before, nice guy. His build is outrageously cool. He sells a lot of stuff on ebay too.
I think most purists would be like, "OMG AN LS1 SWAP WHAT?" but to be honest, the entire swap is clean as hell, he put a ton of work into it and it performs like a beast. Nothing not to like. _________________ - 1977 Porsche 924 2.0 N/A (Trackday Project)

Yep, IMHO there is always a place for the hot rod, whatever chassis it's built into.
I can appreciate the purists (and in the P-car world, they are ever present), but my suspicion is they are "owners" rather than "drivers".
My goal is to keep my car on the road, and enjoy it as much as possible. That means when it's in the garage as well. _________________ '81 Porsche 924 NA
