6Jx15 phone dials are plentiful and cheap. I wouldn't pay more than $200-$400 for a set, depending on condition. The larger versions go for a bit more. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

Ideola is spot on right. Check Craigslist as well as eBay for a set. If you find a set that needs a little facelift, you can easily use some Dupli-color paint kit to make them look great again.

If you're patient, you can do great. There was just a set on Craigslist here, 15x7 with 80% BFG tires for $200. _________________ Toofah King Bad

If you're planning on putting them on your car, make sure the offset is correct.
I thought the 924 takes early offset phone dials. Someone else with more experience needs to confirm what I'm saying though. _________________ 78 924 |

In 911/944 lingo, the toofah takes "late" offset (around 52mm). _________________ Toofah King Bad

No.
Toofah = 924
Our cars use a *high* offset of 50mm-60mm, which is the same as the 87-onward 944/951. So you need phonies with the 52mm offset. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

Does that apply to 4 stud cars as well? I am really finding it hard to ID the OEM offset and width of the wheels on those. _________________ '81 Porsche 924 NA

All 924's with 5-lug (including 924 NA, 931, and 924S) use *high* offset wheels. Yes.
I believe the offset on the 4-lug wheels is ~33mm. I will check the spiderwebs I have in the shop to see if they're marked. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

That makes sense as the A-arms are longer, but the wheels need to locate around the same track as the 4 stud (I am assuming).

Dan, that would be great.
I have started a "definitive" offset thread to act as the reference. Your input will greatly assist. _________________ '81 Porsche 924 NA
