sweet... Just got the rare 20mm rear sway for $50!!
What should I match it with in the front? Prefer very slight oversteer.
Ill be getting the car as light as possible, hopefully 2300 or less. Will use 300lbs springs in front, and matching coilovers in the rear (with the QA2 shocks) _________________ It was either this or a giant box of legos |

I'd throw some 26mm (or 27 or 28mm) torsion bars from CIP1.com in the rear with the largest OEM sway bar in the front. They are cheaper and don't potentially cause shock mount issues or raise your center of gravity in the rear.
If you convert to the later 944 style sway bar mounting, which isn't the easiest thing to do, then you can run any of the front bars available for the 944 series, including the infamous 968 bar. Otherwise for the early style mounting I think your best bet is to find an old Weltmeister setup for the front.
Check out the suspension section of the Clarks-garage.com workshop manual to look at the differences in bar sizes over the years and to get some ideas on spring rates as well. _________________ Stefan

Actually Ill be installing the homemade rear coilover with the QA1s and delete the T-bars.
Also check will be doing a home made front NASCAR sway with these:
http://www.hrpworld.com/store/default/1-1-4-od-x-125-wall-hollow-sb.html
the "arms" are alu and you cut them to what ever length you need.
so you have highly tunable set up lighter than a factory MO30 and they use bearing mounts.
for about $250!
Ill be using the 1-1/4 in the .120 wall.
Not sure on the length yes, any suggestions? _________________ It was either this or a giant box of legos |
