Hi,
I owned this car for about 4 years and just heard of this forum and thought I'd see if anyone here owns this car.
It was a 1980 931 S in Mocha Brown with a Cork leather interior. I love this car but it almost made me go broke and in the process taught me to work on cars a bit (at least not be afraid of them)
If anyone here knows it, I know a bit of history of the car and did a lot of work on it.
Thanks,
Chris |

Well, if it helps, I sold the car in '88 to someone in Sacramento, CA and I then saw the car again in '90 for sale in Livermore, CA.
Just thought I could help someone out if the car was still alive.

You probably don't really want to know the answer to that, since it's probably in rough shape... they usually are by now!

Yeah I know how many of them are....
I have so many memories of that car.
The way the Cat bypass would never fit right and I would always get oil in my har and face being under there
And the time I had the upper pressure duct off and was near the windshied on the drivers side holding a washer thinking "man, it would really suck to drop this washer down the tube to the turbo..." when "Boink!" I was holding the washer so tight it shot up and disappeared. I looked around for hours for it. Well it was down the turbo (somehow) and it took my 80 year old neighbor to fish it out with some magnets and stuff, grumbling at me the whole time....
And the time I decided to replace the dash (not knowing what I was in for and having no guides)
Haaaaa, fond memories.

I dropped a 10mm socket down my turbo. It took about 2 cases fo beer and three days to get it out as it wedged in the impellers. Now as soon as the intake comes off a rag gets stuffed into it.
My 81 is the same color and came from Sac. also.
