Been awhile but almost at primer stage.
Major mission to get the fitment of the kit, pretty much almost broke the spirit. Seeing a bit of daylight on the project now. Taken alot of work & bog to get everything to fit & flow right.
Starting to look like a car again.
Interior has been fully stripped. Reckon took out about 10kg of sound deadening.
Got the bottom end all done as well. Now just got to sort the head out.

I see you went for tha "all in one" kit....the fiberglass will crack due to chassis flexing...especially when you will change a tire and lift only one of the corners.
Why did you put the hood scoop on that side? _________________ Supercharger and EFI kits

Hopefully it will all hold up, All fibre glass joints were done with about 5-10mm sikaflex flexi adhesive, so there is alot of expanded movement that can happen before the glass will crack, worst that can happen is that some of the joining bog will break off, its just going to be a hill climb, track car, wasn't going to be to pro job with me doing it anyways. Had it all up on different wheels when I was swapping out the suspension, no issues yet when it's in the air.
Put the hood scoop there as will be running carbs, scoop should be sticking directly over the airbox for the carbs once all in place, Know that it should be on the other side if was running the intercooler. Maybe in the future when I got some more funds do the turbo route. |

Good luck with the fiberglass thing.
I had rocker pannels blended to the front and rear fenders and they always cracked between the door and the front fenders. I wasnt doing much sport driving.
It looks good with the nostrel on the other side.
GTP cars had them on the right side. _________________ Supercharger and EFI kits

Nice job so far.
I am about half way with my one at present, i dont think its a difficult job.
I have fitted a few kits in my time to different cars, its a bit trickier on the rear, but not as bad as we are led to beleive |

Cheers.
Mark do you have any pics of yours? Yeah not to difficult just real time consuming + finding the motivation to keep going is the hard part.
Joe do you have anymore pics of yours yet? All done with the Paint?
Not real sure which colour to paint mine, I either keep it Guards Red as the original colour, my preference is towards either White or Continental Orange.
Thoughts? |

NOT GUARDS RED. The world does NOT need another Guards Red Porsche.
That car would look slick in the Pearlescent White similar to what was used on the CGT prototypes _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

code L947
I have heard that outside of its use on prototypes like the 959 and 937 it was a "paint to sample" on production cars and something like a 15k option. It was actually a three coat system back in the day. you could probably come up with a close match with one of the late model paint systems with say an Infiinti pearl white which is pretty darn close. |
