So far I have checked out the car and find a few items of interest. Had a couple other water cooled Porsches so I have a little familiarity with these cars. Rear Porsche decal is a little damaged - can you try to repair the bad letters or just replace it? How does one take off the old decal and prep for a replacement? Oil pressure can edge up to 5 bar on the gauge manual says should be at 4 - should that be of concern? I believe since there is no loudspeaker balance control - the car didn't have optional speakers. The car still has the original radio - I am thinking about buying the cassette adapter feature that has a Iphone input so I can keep the car stock. The car has a manual antenna was that stock for this model? Driver's side doesn't have a mat - what do you all recommend ... coco?
This car is in real good condition - amazing in some respects, just hope I have better luck then I did with my 928 experience! This car came with complete tool kit, factory inspection sheet, floor mat information, Porsche tire inflator, owners manual with option codes, plastic sheet and gloves - even the warranty book filled in for most of its miles. It was a contest car that Radio Shack gave away during the 2014 Super Bowl "80's In The With New" campaign.
Anyway thanks beforehand for any advice, hope to post a few pictures when I can. _________________ James T. Carrington (Tedder)

In what kind of temperature/situation? On full acceleration it can go up to 5 bar or close, I think it is normal and a sign of a healthy engine. However (presuming that your oil pressure sender and gauge are working as they should) if the oil pressure doesn't come down when engine temperature goes up, then the OPRV is faulty and it will blow oil filter gasket away whey you rev the engine. Quite messy then in the engine bay. _________________ Mikko

2.5 oil pressure should be pegged at 5 BAR when the engine comes off idle. Hot idle pressure can be as low as 2. _________________ Toofah King Bad
