If this question is about your '79 924 of related posts, it looks like the previous owner might have moved the fuel pump relay here because there was something wrong with the usual place on the relay/fuse board under the dash.

1979 Porsche 924 na Fuel Pump Relay

This is quite possible if your image (shown below) is portraying the green/white wire (relay terminal 1) going to the three pole T 6 terminal white connector shown, and the shown thick black wire (relay terminal 30) coming from the ignition switch. I can't really tell the color of the other wires from the photo, but ordinarily, you'd have a brown ground coming off relay terminal 31 and a red/black coming off relay terminal 87 going to the 25 amp Fuse #2 on the fuse board.

I don't understand. The 1.5 ohm ballast resistor should be directly connected between terminal 50 of the starter and terminal 15 of the ignition coil, and the 1 ohm ballast resistor should be directly connected between terminal 15 of the transistor ignition unit and terminal 15 of the ignition coil.

And what I read into your post doesn't make sense to me: the quote seems to be saying the "black box" near the center-left in the photo which has the rough appearance of the face of a relay has five wires which go to a ballast resistor -- which, of course, can't be the case.

Can you be more specific?

Sorry -- it looks like I cannot help you. The only thing that vaguely approximates the connections mentioned in your post on the wiring diagram for a '79 924 Porsche is a wire coming off the distributor tower terminal 15 to the 1.5 ohm ballast resistor and then through a 3 pole connector to the solenoid of the starter motor which of course has connections to the battery and a ground from the motor itself. So I have no idea what's going on here in your photo. I can't tell from the photo what the PO had in mind with this wiring set-up.

Is the #2 position on the fuse/relay board under the dash empty?
