The Tartan that Porsche used for the '79 Sebring edition is called maclachlan modern.
I just went through about 150 tartans on a kilt site to find it. Exact match. Hopefully this isn't common knowledge haha.
Edited to include example:

You think it is picture of Porsche interior? Tis not, tis kilt.

Damn, looks like it isn't exact. Close enough though no?

I'd be more worried if the cloth is strong enough to use as seat upholstery.
Comes close though…

IIRC it was also available in some 911s

Edit:
US source red & blue tartan plaid cloth:
www.autobahninteriors.com in San Diego, US
…might bring down the shipping cost

Oh, well i just used that website as to show. There are tons of places that sell Maclachlan Modern. This place in particular has some very heavyweight fabrics. http://houseoftartan.co.uk/scottish/itempg.asp?itemid=-1237295944&pc=21&TartanID=&catid=12200
Don't know if you've ever felt a proper kilt. But they sure aren't weak.

So is that fabric an exact match?
I might call that San Diego place. I'm not to far.
