Hi, my indicator stalk/switch broke into 3 pieces on Saturday, so I need a replacement one.
What year did they change to the plastic ones? I need to know what years I should be looking for at the wreckers for a replacement metal one.

Hi Andrew,
My 78 had the flat metal stalks and 80 had the plastic ones, I believe the upgrade happened for 1980 model along with the door strikes and repeater indicator on the front guards/fenders.
I am pretty sure I have a spare early model stalk in my parts bin you can have if its any good.

Thanks, that's a big help. I'll see if I can find something locally first as I need to get it back on the road next week if I can, but otherwise I'll take you up on that!

No, that's the later plastic one. I've got one of those, but the mounting holes are different and it has a different number of pins.
