Has anyone ever removed the body from a 924. The place we have moved too for the next 5 years has nowhere to park the 924 and you cant get it down either side of the house. The only way it will go is to remove all of the panels and put skinny wheels on it to get it through. Once the panels are removed they would never be replaced as such. A donar body would have to be put back on it in 5 years time.

Removing the Front guards, bonnet, bumpers, doors etc are no problem, the problem is the rear wheel arches

It's a unibody car for the most part. Can you build a curved/cushioned dolly (with wheels) and set it on it's side?

There are much better vehicles than a 924 for moving bodies. I would look for something with a trunk at minimum.

As mentioned, this is a unibody car not body-on-frame. So you can take the fenders, doors and hood off but the rest remains.

IMHO, unless its a special car of some sort, they're not worth the effort you're talking about. You might want to think about selling it and buying another in 5 years.

Use a crane FFS...dont chop the car up !!
or if that wont work, find a decent and safe storage for it and make a deal for the next 5 years.

Going to have a talk to the neighbour, might be able to put it on a truck, back it up to the fence and use ramps to get it over and down. No we cant take the fence down, already thought of that

Talk to a bad parking pick-up company...pay a bad parking bill and ask them to load your car up on their truck and unload it into the yard...easy and risk free.
