I'm buying a set of Vibratechnics for the D-Prod Tribute car. Anybody else interested? I'll let this run for a week or so (I'm in a bit of a hurry). Here's the pricing breakdown (same as last time):

Priced PER PAIR:
Me all by my lonesome: $271.60 shipped (0% savings)
Me + 1 participant: $254.44 shipped (6% savings)
Me + 2 participants: $250.56 shipped (8% savings)
Me + 3 participants: $240.40 shipped (11% savings)
Me + 4 participants: $236.91 shipped (13% savings)
Me + 5 participants: $230.59 shipped (15% savings)
Me + 6 participants: $229.85 shipped (15% savings)
Me + 7 participants: $225.19 shipped (17% savings)
Me + 8 participants: $222.76 shipped (18% savings)
Me + 9 participants: $216.26 shipped (20% savings)

This is for the "street version" of their mount (POR174M). If you'd like the "track version", add $12.50.

More details are available here:
http://www.vibra-technics.co.uk/parts/part-results.asp?mid=19
(Note that the pricing on their site is for ONE mount, not including shipping).

These prices are based upon current exchange rate.

As last time, I will invoice initially to cover the cost of the part itself, and then issue a secondary invoice to cover the balance based on total number of participants sharing in the shipping cost. If you're not in the U.S., please contact me via PM or offline to sort out shipping arrangements.

Mike, cool, do me a favor and PM me your email address and shipping address. I'm sure I have it somewhere, but I have several customers named "Mike" and I don't trust my failing memory to get it right

Participant list:
2 confirmed.

I bought mine a few months ago. They now look like this

Looks like the rust protection may be improved with paint versus plating

I have no idea...why do you ask? The last time around, they had some sets in stock, but had to make more to fill the entire group buy, so I don't think it matters much...if they need more, they'll make them.

And the costs to make and retail products in the UK are far higher than in Romania

These prices are for a PAIR, including SHIPPING. Shipping includes the import shipping from UK to me in the US, PLUS the shipping cost from me to the customer. As with many suppliers, they would prefer not to have to deal with a bunch of individual drop ship orders, but the last time we did the group buy, they did agree to drop ship to a few European customers, and I sorted out the details of that shipping for those customers.

But there is still exchange rate and dual shipping cost to consider.

As of today, GBP£76 = USD$119. Multiply by 2 (these are sold in pairs) = $238. It cost me USD$33.60 to have one pair shipped over. The more that are shipped at one time, the more expensive the shipping from UK to US due to the weight (these things aren't exactly feathers, and they do require a package of some volume to ship several in one box).

The prices I've listed are based on their list price, with discounts for higher levels of participation.

And considering that the OEM units are NLA and list at several hundred each anyway, these are a pretty good deal, in my opinion.

I work for a multinational corporation based in Japan with design offices in Germany and west Romania
Production and suppliers are allover the world. including Germany and Romania.

Dan, you are right, for a pair, adding all those shipping costs, exchange rates and shipping that is a good deal !
Thanks for making it clear.

How do they behave on a road car? are they not too rigid? too noisy?

There are two versions, the "road" version and the "track" version. I have the track setup in Club Sport, but it hasn't been on the road long enough for me to comment. However, others have noted that the track versions are very harsh, and best used only on dedicated track cars; the road versions are reportedly stiffer than stock, so a bit more prone to vibration, but not too much to make the car unusable for the road. Cedric even opined that the road version would be his choice for the track.

I too manufacture but clothing, in UK and Asia with components from UK, DE, IT and China. I wrongly assumed you were trying to compare RO manufacturing to UK retail. Glad Dan cleared it up.

They are expensive, but they are nice pieces. Also, IMO the "street" versions are hard enough. . .I would stay away from the race versions.

Stuck a set of streets on my car.

Didn't really notice a difference vibration wise between those and collapsed stock units, but it was hardly a back-to-back comparison as I replaced them while it was out of commission for a while.

There is certainly an improvement due to eliminating slop from the collapsed OE ones.
