Ihave had my 924 for about a year now and ever since I bought it the muffler has been rattling like crazy durring idle. Turned out to be a half broken inlet and some terrible worksmanship. I was thinking of chopping the old one off and welding on something aftermarket like a glasspack. More than welcome to give me any other thoughts or tips. _________________ 79' 924 (first car) |

mine came with a thrush glasspack. sounded like a race car. I would recommend something a little less noisy, unless you're sure it'll pass noise pollution regulations in your area. _________________ proud owner of a 1979 924 Sebring Edition with a 931 trans that looks horrible but somehow runs... |

I suggest a super turbo style muffler. I have one on mine as well as one silencer, and it is quite a nice sound. Not too loud and doesn't drone, but sounds good when you want it to. _________________ 1978 924 NA
