Repaint it or leave it and spend my money on sound equipment? http://s1048.photobucket.com/albums/s371/xanderdeg/

Wow. That is a pretty aweful color. But the interior looks nice - I love the two-tone. What was the car's original color?

Paint it.

Do all of your own prep and tape work and take it to Maaco (or whatever you have similar north of the border) for spraying.

http://www.rickwrench.com/50dollarpaint.html

use a foam brush/roller with Rustoleum (TrimClad in Canuckistan) and you'll only need a small amount of cheap, easy to find paint and spray cans are available for touch up

The white primer I have on my car right now is holding up just fine and I'll put the gloss coats on fairly soon.

One other toofah person painted their car orange using Rustoleum, looked pretty good when finished.

If you're not going to do the door jambs and interior spaces in the hatch that have exposed painted surfaces, don't even bother painting the car, especially with that bizarre color. The current paint job appears to have been done relatively well (door jambs and such, with blacked-out engine bay and under-hood). Not doing the door jambs will turn it into multi-colored monstrosity (in my opinion). Every time you open the car doors you will be reminded that you took a short cut.

I'm not going to roll it on, I don't have enough time between work and school starting back up in september. If anything i'll take it to maaco for painting after i've prepped the crap out of it. i guess i'll have to prepare the door jams in the parking lot seeing as i dont feel like driving on the highway to maaco without doors... I'll get it painted black (i'd prefer white but the weels are black so....) so the engine bay will be fine

You don't have to take the doors off to prep the jams. Just takes patience and a scotch brite pad. Have you ever taken the interior door panel off and seen if its green behind it?

I just asked the current owners (I'm buying it in 2 weeks) and they say that it's not 100% green under the interior door panels, so my guess is there's some overspray in there.

I agree with catamax. it would be a huge bummer if you got it painted, then found out you didn't like it, or it fell apart after a month...

DONT paint it. you can turn this color into an advantage, look for styling elements that resemble the super sport 911s
