I'm going to be moving from rainy Portland Oregon to sunny San Diego in April and my 924 turbo is about to get it's first ever oil change. Since San Diego is a place where the climate doesn't really change (as low as 70 in the winter nights and 90 in the summer days), what weight would be ideal for this climate? I'm not interested in brands, just the weight.

Hey lucky you. I think you can go with a heavier oil in that climate though stay synthetic.

Is that because you just don't care or do you have a favourite brand already? Different brands use different base oils and additives. Quality is not the same!

Oil talk is like talking about religion! Nah I'm going to pony up the extra bones and go Amsoil all around
