Is it my imagination, or are there a dozen different fasteners for this cobbled-together setup? Seems like there are two different sizes (10 and 12), multiple lengths, and even different configurations (some threaded holes, some through holes with nuts/bolts).
I must give this a hearty WTF. . .
Staring, sifting through my bolt bag actually took the wind out of my sails at about 4 PM yesterday. . .got the clutch assembled, but didn't get the motor in.
Meanwhile, my buddy was putting his 2.5 bellhousing on, using 4 uniformly sized and spaced bolts. Yar! _________________ Toofah King Bad

. . .and also on this topic, do these puppies go in alone, or with washers?
I'm afraid I let far too much time pass between uninstall and install! _________________ Toofah King Bad

Ha, found the FSM page on this. It actually has a map of the bellhousing with all the bolt sizes.

Well, I'm in the same situation. This time though I'm looking for bolt sizes and where they go for a '78 924.
I looked through what I have for a FSM, and couldn't find anything for any car. _________________ 78 924 NA

Yes, this is a royal PITA. I encountered the same issue while building the 941 and Club Sport motors.
If you scour PET carefully, you can piece it together. But it is a PITA. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |
