Whats up with the picture of the day? Thought Iwould see a nice 924 and instead I get a picture of a couple of Yahoo's downing a cold one!
Man that brew they are drinking probably cost $2,000 a bottle and I have a hard time paying for a can of Fosters!

You know you're back to the start of the P.O.T.D. cycle when you see Peter_in_AU's car followed by me'n Paul in Bris Vegas at The Plough Inn.

What the HE** is THAT THING. A Trolobite? I wouldn't eat that if it was the last morsel of seafood on earth. I'm assuming its seafood rather than some desert animal.

Yeesh. Fossil Oz sushi. F'n wonky aussies. Eat dirt if you let 'em. Win one friggin road race and they think they rule the world.

From:

http://www.sea-ex.com/fishphotos/bug,1.htm

Cooking Moreton Bay Bugs - Slipper Lobsters:

Buying
Bugs are usually sold whole, sometimes live but often already cooked. If possible buy live from a tank, in which case they should be lively with a hard shell (indicating that they haven’t recently moulted) and all legs and antennae should be intact. Unlike Crabs and Rock lobsters, Bugs don’t survive well out of water; if buying chilled green (raw dead) Bugs, ask when they were alive, they should only be stored chilled for about 48 hours before being cooked. In cooked Bugs, look for brightly coloured, firm, intact, lustrous shells, without any discolouration, particularly at joints, and a pleasant fresh sea smell. They should feel heavy for their size and their tails should be tightly curled.

I didn't see the potd but I think you're talking about a rollover at goodwood several years back. Driver hit a tire barrier at the chicane, jammed a tire or two under the chassis and as the tires squooshed then unsprung, over she went...

Bugs are pretty similar in size and taste as small to medium Lobster tails. Think of them as lobsters without claws.
