I guess my health is getting back, since while I was roaming a local web based site I came across a 924 which was going up for sale as parts which got me interetsed. Luckily I saw an ad for the same car who's owner wanted Euro 750 app. $950 for the whole lot. I kind got interested in it as a whole car and am awaiting for it to be delivered coming saturday.

It has some interior stuff missing like carpets door sides and the front widscreen, yet everything else is either on the car or in boxes. The car is driveable and has a good webber setup too http://s1081.photobucket.com/albums/j349/iqssm/

Im not sure if i should continue dismantling it and stock as parts since it has good mechanics etc or else convert it into a track car too. The only problem here would be getting hold of a second hand front windscreen (none available at the moment locally)although as it is highly lightened I could opt for a front perspex type screen. Does anyone here have any experience in such screens.

Im very anxious to give it a good run just to get a feel of the difference if any, from cis to webber conversion too. Thr previous owner states it has better throttle responce and feels a bit more pwerfull anyhow.

Although i dont know how to post pics here, I will put some on photo bucket for vieweing.

Glad you're feeling better.

Looks pretty clean by the pictures. I'd keep it and track it, but that's just my preference.

The plastic windshields tend to scratch and yellow from UV. There are some that are coated to prevent some of that though. It would also need to be braced to prevent it collapsing. Getting the window molded correctly can be difficult to do, but not impossible.

Unless there have been other mods to the engine, the difference is likely to be only in throttle response and fuel consumption.

Guess your right fiat22turbo about the plexi screen, But unless one pops up here I will have t tackle it. I guess that it will have to be braced by some sort of metal support from the middle just like we see on those american stock cars. Id be happy for now with the car having better throttle responce too, will see what can be done in the future. Still havnt touched the 933 project , too much cars piled up all of a sudden/

mad electrician i guess what you mean by vaccuum setup is the piping to the brake booster and/or distributor right? Well as soon as I get the car here hopefully this weekend I will have a look and possibly take some pics of the setup and post on photobucket OK??

It looked like the vacuum line runs to the front of the car. I was just wondering if you had some sorta of vacuum can or something. I had a couple of my own ideas for pulling vacuum for thing since my intake doesn't even have a place to tap into for vac. I was pulling vac from the hole from the last injector which worked fairly well, then I thought it would work if I pulled from all the injector holes but the Ts I used are too small and now I have to press the brakes pretty hard to get full braking power. I have about 3 more things I want to try but have not worked on it any. I like to hear what others have done.

That would be to the fuel regulator I believe.

If you need more vacuum for the power brakes, look into vacuum pump solutions used on some of the hot rods, etc. Fixes that problem pretty well.

Also, I think there was some good tips here:

With this somewhat small screen on my phone some of the details are hard to make out.

I took delivery of the webbered 924 today and took a slight glimpse at the vacuum pipes etc. It seems that the blue pipe coming out of the fuel pressure regulator goes into a T , another pipe coming from the last throttle of the inlet manifold also goes to this same T. A pipe then comes out of the T and goes to the power break system. Im not sure how this works but I will give it a better look later during the week since I only had time to unload and garage the vehicle. I will also take some close up pics and post on photobucket.Im not sure if all FPR work this way but before starting the previous owner kind of let this item fill with fuel/ air or whatever. This might also cause vacuum to buld up????.

As for the brakes , I got to drive the car into the garage and it had real good stopping power, good hard brake pedal etc.
