So many people ask the question. So many different answers. This is my vote for all around use.

I had to order mine, no one in El Paso carries it. Still have it on the side for the engine rebuild. _________________ 1979 924 N/A, Snail Shell

It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

I use AmsOil as well. I've been using it since 1980. _________________ 84 944--924 Carrera GTS clone w/520HP Chevy 302 V8--RUNNING!

I would not suggest using 0w40 oil in our cars. Can't really speak for the audi 2.0 engine as that is not my area. Running 10 30 to 20 50 depending on the conditions seems appropriate for the 2.5. The 10 40 pictured covers a broad range of operating temperatures. This is not an oil you drain every 3 months, you can run this stuff for a year if you wish depending on operating conditions. That is why i picked a weight that will work in a broad range of temperatures. Some of my cars only get 1000 miles a year put on them and it just makes no sense to dump a lot of oil. If I was racing I would go with a heavier weight, if I was living in alaska I would go lighter. _________________ 87 924s

Lower cold viscosity number is always better for the engine since you will have a lubricant which flows much better at cold starts, even on summer days. But it often costs more money and if you dont have so much of it spend it else were and buy a cheaper 5w or 10w40 instead. _________________ 1980 924 Turbo
