Okay, get a load of this:
Looking over the fuse block, I found a wire that had been crimped to a fuse post (9, I think) That does not appear to be factory spec to me. I traced the wire back all the way to the fuel pump. I think this is powering the fuel pump! What the #### is up with that? _________________ Fred- 1979 924 |

It looks like a PO had a failed fuel pump relay and couldn't find or couldn't be bothered to find the correct one. The fuel pump relay has a timeout circuit driven by tacho pulses that must work or you won't get any fuel pumping.
