Have to replace the accumulator. Noticed that 1976-78 accumulators a lot cheaper than 1980/Turbo versions. Would an earlier version work for my 1980? _________________ I've owned too many cars. 1980 Porsche 924 with European bumpers |

| The older pressure accumulator has only 20 cm^3 volume and has a cracking sound when the engine is shut off. Two accumulators were used. The newer pressure accumulator beginning in 1979 has 40cm^3 and according to Porsche not only reduces the cracking noise in the fuel system when engine in stopped, but also helps with warm starts. |
