Hi. Well ive never really had the need to fix this problem , but when i rev the car and it goes down in refs , it gets about 600RPM (and almost stalling) before going to normal 850-900 RPM. It kinda worries me because in the mornings when i go to work and get to the 1st stop sign the car stalls and i lose power to my breaks!!

Thanks

You've got a faulty check valve for the brake booster, or a vaccuum leak in your brake booster.

Get that fixed!

Thanks for that , I might be wrong on the power to the breaks , i still got a little power when the car dies , but i thought its normal for the breaks to go "hard" when the car isnt running?

How do i check if its an faulty check valve or how do i check for a vacuum leak?

Sorry Im kinda new to the whole car business but im slowly learning!!
Thanks

Edit :

Quote:
Power boosters are very reliable and cause few problems of their own, however, other things can contribute to a loss of power assist. In order to have power assist, the engine must be running. If the engine stalls or shuts off while you are driving, you will have a small reserve of power assist for two or three pedal applications but, after that, the brakes will be extremely hard to apply and you must put as much pressure as you can to bring the vehicle to a stop.

Thats the problem im getting , so i guess back to the idleing problem?
Ive already turned up my idle speed up to 1k RPM , So the car doenst stall anymore 1st thing in the morning when i start it and going to a stop , but it still dropes to about 600 RPM If i say rev it up to 2k and leave the peddle.

Where does it idle when cold? Where does it idle when hot?

My understanding is that when cold, letting off the throttle causes a stall. Otherwise, everything is fine. Is this correct?

It normaly idles on 850 - 900 on cold and doenst stall . But as soon as i start driving , Lights on / and start braking the car stalls , say in 1 min when the car just got started. i dont have this problem if the engine is hot.

It mayb be an undervoltage problem? Because even if the car is hot , when i leave the peddle at say 2k + revs it also stumbles to about 600RPM but dont stall and then go to normal idleing revs

Hey owenexile, sounds like the same problem I have, runs like poop when cold. I've got a non-functioning cold start valve.
I've got to drive operating all 3 pedals at the same time.Clutch left foot, brake right toes and keep the gas with my right heal.
Then when I'm slow enough, I can brake with my left then keep the gas with my right.
As if this car wasn't challenging enough to drive .
