my car made the porsche's sold section of excellence mag...slight delay since I've owned my 931 for a year and a half. I was trying to get some info on the car and that is why I submitted it to them. If anyone has owned my car in the past (#99) or knows anything about it give me a shout. car is a 1979 eurospec 931 with factory carrera gt body parts (not air or gt fbglass parts). I tracked down one owner in PA who bought it off of ebay about 5 years ago from someone from upstate NY...he didn't have it very long. I do know the car was imported into the country at some point by a George Evans. Contacted EPA and DOT and they destroyed all their old records from the 80's.

I'm really confused on how to post pictures on this board....now changing the belt on an interference motor...that's another story.

You need to use an image hosting service, like picasa.google.com or Photobucket, etc. Then you have to copy the URL for the image you want to display here, and wrap it in the [IMG] tags. Like this:

[IMG]URL-to-photo[/IMG]

The URL to the photo MUST start with http:// and MUST end in either .gif or .jpg

So here's an example of what the code should look like:
[IMG]http://garage.ideola.com/images/menu-NoPayPal.jpg[/IMG]
In this example, the "image hosting service" is actually my own website, with a path the image I want to show. In the next post, you'll see the image displayed...note that for this post, I've selected the "Disable BBCode in this post" option so you can see what the code looks like.

And here, with BBCode enabled, you see the image magically appear:

Even though the image is hosted on MY web server (which happens to be in Pittsburgh), the 924board web server all the way over in Australia knows how to find the image and display it here
