I put new cable ends on and I'm trying to get the pedal where it was.
DO I adjust the cable for best feel, ie it picks up near the bottom or do I adjust for pedal clearance ? Using the 1/4" method I have it picking up about 1/2 way to the top which is not my prefered position. I don't want it too tight and damaging the bearing.

I think the recommended clearance is 20 mm at the end of the pedal, but if this this doesn't feel right I don't see why you can't alter it slightly one way or the other to suit your preference.
Just make sure the cluch operates over its full range of travel, i.e. it's not under tension (slipping) with the pedal at the top, or dragging when the pedal on the floor... _________________ 1985 Porsche 924 'Lux', Kalahari Beige (my ex)

Thanx, That's about what I did this morning. Just kept moving the lower nut until the pedal felt "right" and then locked it down with the top. _________________ '78 924 NA with Collector plate
