| I've got a same situation but worse lol. Never had a 931 with a bad lifter so... been reading about 928 lifters (944). Never took any interest into how they actually function... I presume they have the same/similar concept? Nobody wants to remove the cam...or cams. Any update? |

944/928 lifters are not nearly the same as 924 lifters. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

| OK, what mechanism (if any) do 924 lifters use? Is entirely hydraulic? |

924 lifters are purely mechanical, the tip of the valve stem makes direct mechanical contact with the lifter adjust screw, which is used to adjust the clearance. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

Why not pop off your valve cover and take a look? Roll up the sleeves, get your hands dirty, and report back? Better than sponging others' R&D!

Hehehe...Ok Rasta I derserved that.
Besides, my my tappet issue(s) are for hyraulic lifters and thier relationship to oil supply/pressure. OT so no need to report back here. |
