Where to buy them?
Which size to buy that will meet the follow criterias:
-fit into a stock 87 924S (brakes & wheelwells w/o rubbing)
-retain correct speed /w the speedometer
I have only seen availability in 16x7 fronts and 16x8 rears
anyone get pictures of these puppies in a slimbody 924? _________________ 1987 Porsche 924S Black/Black. 5-spd.

| Early offset PD's are all over the place on pelican's f/s section. or ebay... Whether your speedo is accurate will be a function of the tires you put on. |

Here's a couple of pics of a set I used to have on my car. My tire sizes were 205/55 front and 225/50 rear, and the speedo seemed to be right. Make sure you get the late offset (52mm) from an '87 or later.

You need late offset phonies from a 951, 7 and 8 inches by 16.
Try Wheelenhancement.com. _________________ Toofah King Bad

A number of people have put seven inch late offset wheels up front on these cars. A small spacer might be needed.
Wheelenhancement.com is a great business. They get a lot of take-offs of used genuine wheels. If you look closely, you can find a pic of Shaggy on there! _________________ Toofah King Bad

What size spacer do I need?
When I go ahead with the wheels upgrade, I want to do everything in one fell swoop. No fuss, no muss.
Also, what are a good set of rubbers to go with the 16" phones? _________________ 1987 Porsche 924S Black/Black. 5-spd.

Talk to Dave at WE. . .he probably knows the answer to the spacer Q.
As for tires, I have been extremely happy with Avid V4s from Yokie. Perhaps 215/55 up front and 225/50 in the rear? _________________ Toofah King Bad

Kumho ECSTAs recently won the GRM tire faceoff. I'm running them on the SH4RK and also had a set that I just sold to ivan that I was running on GEIST before I trader her for GEBLASN. I also have a set of the Yokohama's which GRM rated very high, 2nd IIRC to the Kumhos. Great thing about Kumhos is that they're one of the least expensive tires you can find. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |
