As I recall, I removed the sway bar, exhaust & WG and coaxed the turbo out with everything else attached. _________________ Toofah King Bad

No - to the question of crossmember removal. Here's a little bit on it - http://www.924board.org/viewtopic.php?t=12868&start=14 _________________ "..it's made in Germany. You know the Germans always make good stuff."

It doesn't have to but it makes the whole process a damn sight easier. No crossmember and steering shaft creates a whole lot more possible positions for ratchets, wrenches and extensions when dealing with those pesky bolts. _________________ 1979 931 with a 350 chev

Finally next week I can get started on this again. It has been to darn cold here to do anything. I did however buy a 55,000 BTU forced air heater, that should arrive on Monday. _________________ Matt

Leave the crossmember. Drop (let hang loose) the sway bar and steering rack. _________________ John
