Look at this:

They say the first owner this was Porsche factory where they tested some options with this car.

It seems to have US vin code and even side markers, euro bumbers though. Also yellow dials (944) etc. And CGT intercooler of course! Quite interesting car.

There was once a 951 for sale in Tallinn, Estonia. It was a similar story. First owned by the factory, many strange options, vin code ending ...0007. This car is now in Finland owned by a Porsche enthusiasist.

very nice find...pretty cool stuff... i like it! its also interesting that porsche was continueing development work on the 2.0 so late in the game.. by then they already knew the 2.0 was on its way out. cant help but wonder what alternative changes they came up with in this phase that were never instituted??

I could do without the two hood scoops and the side markers and the seatbacks are visually challenging..., other from that an interesting exercise.

Arrgh, nice hack job on the uber-rare "sunroof delete" option. . .

Leave the non-targa top roof alone, and hack up a regular 924 hood for the CGT scoop and it'd be a BEAUTIFUL example. It'd be even better if it was a saratoga glass top.
