When idling my 924S temp will reach almost the red. The fan will kick on and bring it back down to a very comfortable area of the guage. This keeps repeating as long as I run the car. I am more used to ones that hold a fairly constant temp, so this seemed a little odd to me.

Plus I apparently have a small coolant leak on the drivers side. It is so tight to try an get into there, that I cannot determine where it is coming from (i.e. hose at clamp, threads of switch, overflow return hose. Has anybody got some ideas ?

If you have a stock thermostat and fan switch, when sitting still, the fans should kick on at the 3rd line and turn off below the 2ond line. Yours sounds pretty normal.

The fans on my car turn on all the time...but the temp gauge never goes past the second line...is something wrong with my car? lol After a long-ish drive, the fans will also stay on for a while, sometimes turning on and off a few times.

Switches can be found cheap on the internet. A new one might kick the fans on sooner. Cheap experiment. You can also turn on the fans by switching on the AC if the engine gets hot in traffic and the fans are not kicking in.

my NA heated until the midle of the gauge(third mark i think) then the fan kicked in and it went back to second mark....a loop.

my 931 however only goes after the second mark when i give it some stick. Last time i tested this my brakedisks turned a slight blue colour
