|
|
I just fixed my rear axle bearing, now a new sound comes on.
When i release the clutch paddle i get a bad noise, more with higher revs.
Is it possible that the clutch is slipping and how can i re-adjust the clutch?
Thanks folks,

i have a similar problem..when the pedal is not pressed there is some sort of ratling going on but it comes from the back of the car...its the gearbox i think.....you should check your oil level in the gearbox too. _________________ Supercharger and EFI kits

| Are you hearing the noise in neutral sitting still, or going down the road? How much play is in your clutch pedal? How far can you push it before you feel significant resistance (there should be some play at the very top of travel)? If clutch slippage has gotten bad enough to produce noise, you are going to notice rpms rising disproportionately to speed in high gears. If you dont notice any slipping in top gear under a load your clutch is probably fine. Your torq tube bearings may be going bad, or something in your tranny. |

Hi,
while i am driving everything is fine, no problems. it s only when taking off for a ride (1 gear).
Sometimes the clutch pedal feels diffrent, more or less hard to push!?
The clutch kicks in very late, the pedal is nearly back completly.
Is there a chance to adjusted the clutch?

| There should be some form of adjustment between the top of the pedal and the master cylinder. Probably a yoke you can screw in or out. Haynes tells the specific amount of play you want at the top of pedal travel. I am speaking for later 924s and 944s here. Still seems odd that you have a noise. Do you hear the noise in neutral sitting still with the pedal out? |

then its not the clutch...you can however adjust the clutch on a 924 NA using the 19mm spanner(as i remember) to adjust the cable...right next to the brake booster.
If the noise comes from the back...you should check the oil in the tranny....scratch that...you should replace the oil in the tranny. _________________ Supercharger and EFI kits
