I'm so bummed and pissed with my self as a result!

It's been parked in my storage unit for probably 2 years without being touched (except to climb all over to get to parts and junk behind it). We had to pull it out (it went to a friend's driveway last night) to make room for furniture and junk - prepping our place to try to sell it.

So we pushed it out, put some air in the tires, and I dropped the battery from the racecar into it. Turned the key, and it fired right up! AARRGGH!!!

Now I feel all guilty for neglecting it for the racecar... two years parked, and it runs fine. All it needs is a $hitload of bodywork, and then proceed with the mods (starting with the 951 IC). Gonna be a fast, fun car.

Now just to pray that we can sell out house quickly to get the one with the big garage, with room for both the 81 and the 82... (but the '87's gonna have to go).

All that guilt! Just think of all the time and money you'll have to spend on her just to make up for it!

And don't forget the blood, my 924 requires regular bleeding in order to continue running properly. (cut hands on various sharp bits, skinned knuckles on other various bits)

Yeah, that's for sure! Much to my surprise, it required no ritual bloodletting to get into its new parking space... which only means that it's saving it all up for later!!!

First project I think will be removing the engine for rebuild and painting of the engine compartment. That's sure to require plenty of red, in addition to the intended white color...
