Hi!

I got a great recommendation awhile back to get 924 by Brian Long and I thought I'd see if anyone has any recommendations for a book on 911s (or any other Porsches for that matter). There are just so many books on amazon about porsches it's tough to pick one. Hope there are no die hard fans of the 924 who are offended. If so just remember I bought the 924 book first .

Just so you have alittle background: I have no money to spend on sports cars as I am a college student; nevertheless, I absolutely love Porsches and intend to drive one some day. (Sadly I've never actually ridden in one but maybe I will get lucky.) Someday when I can afford the maintenance and treat the car right I will get one but until then I will wait, read, and dream!

Btw, this is without a doubt the best forum I have ever come across on the internet and while I hardly ever post I really enjoy reading the discussions. Ok enough for rambling; let me know what you think.

Thanks,
Dave

some books:
- 911 Story : written by Paul Frère; Belgian journalist and racedriver, also personal friend of the Porsche family.
- The original 911 : written by Peter Morgan, book also known as the bible.
- Excellence was expected: written by Karl Ludvigsen

"Porsche 911 Performance Handbook", by Bruce Anderson.
One of the best 911 literature ever written.
