I owe you guys many thanks…..
I’ve been reading this board for 2 years. I bought my 81’ 931 (US$1000 with M471 option) a few months after I discovered this site and have saved many, many hours and even more dollars from what I have gleaned from all of you. If any of you ever get to southern Oregon, I’ll buy you a beer.
This little car is the most agile, most fun thing I have ever driven. I even messed around with autocross. How can I get more low end power?
Enough for now………
Again many thanks.

On a more serious note, I have to agree - this is better than NPR! _________________ 924.org (no time to complete)

There aren't too many of these cars around here, so talking to anyone with a point of referance would be worth a beer.
Am taking the car in for new exhaust next month... _________________ Doug in Southern Oregon |

| The exhaust on the 931 is really good stock. It is Huge for a 2.0 I4. I wouldn't waste any money on the exhaust except for deleting the CAT. |

The exhaust needs replacing anyway, so no loss. Any other suggestions for increasing low end power? _________________ Doug in Southern Oregon |

I don't know what the other folks think but I think you're going to have a tough time if you want more low-end power. These cars are meant to run under boost and they make their power when the turbo is working -- > 3K rpm or more. Down low and off boost, they're essentially a 7.5 or 8:1 n/a 2.0l motor -- hardly exciting. Not sure that you'll be able to do much about it other than run the car where it was designed -- > on boost over about 3k rpm.
ymmv, imho, etc. |

Sounds good to me.
Are there any events there that might give us an excuse/reason? _________________ Doug in Southern Oregon |
