The Carrera GT-style headlight conversion has had a run of press lately... Has anyone thought of putting 968-style lights on their car? (or have actually done it?)
I've been trying to picture it in my head and I reckon it mightn't look too bad...
Any thoughts? _________________ '80 924 Turbo |

I think it would look nice too - but the fenders don;t line up at all so it would seem to be a huge undertaking. But would be very interesting indeed. _________________ 924.org (no time to complete)

I know the 968 has completely different fenders and hood, so it obviously wouldn't be a direct swap.
But I'm thinking the crease lines are already in the hood, leading down to the lights. And there's that little lip/crease line at the nose/front of the headlight cover, where it dives into the bumper... you could mount the headlights behind that nose crease line.
You'd have to mod the hood slightly and fuse the headlight covers with the nose, then cut into them.
I reckon it'd work, though. Just don't have the photoshop skills to draw it up.
Biggest problem would be choosing the right size headlight... too big or too small and it'd look ridiculous. And definitely oval. Circular wouldn't work, IMHO. _________________ '80 924 Turbo |
