My 931 has weak turn signals and flashing is weaker in the front when the headlights are turned on as well.
I have replaced all of the bulbs, checked/cleaned all of the grounds, just haven't replaced the flasher. Worth it, or just throwing parts at it? $4 won't kill me, but if there is another way, I'll try it as well. Need to pass a State "brake and lamp inspection" to have the car registered, I don't think it will pass with the blinkers so weak.
Soccer moms try to rearend me and honk like mad...the blinkers work, and the taillamps are bright, just dim on the blinky blinky part.

Do you have the correct bulbs installed in your blinkies? _________________ White 87 924S "Ghost"

Yup, correct euro shape bulbs-- the "std" bulbs don't fit through the housings, though the bases/connectors fit. _________________ '82 924 Turbo (not stock) - soon returning home?

Are they as big as the brake light bulbs? _________________ White 87 924S "Ghost"

I would have suggested grounds again, but if they're alright, how's the alternator output look? Maybe try hooking up a voltmeter that you can check while driving - low voltage might account for both the dim blinkers and the poor running at higher rpms. _________________ "..it's made in Germany. I didn't think of that at all-- the alternator. I killed a battery not too long ago (mechanical failuire-- hole rubbed in side) and replaced it with a gel-cell Total Power battery that we've used on other racecars. Even replaced and added a bunch of ground wires and stuff, and the car still takes forever to crank and "feels" like a weak battery or weak connectors. The alternator is a Bosch rebuilt unit, I will have to test it and see. Starter has gigantic wires (1/0 cable as thick as your thumb!) to it as well as a good heat shielf from the previous owner, but it could be the reason its slow to crank.
