I'm planning of changing out the coolant in the radiator on my 79-924.
The fluid still looks good (Green) but it has been a while since it was changed and I'm concerned about the ph of the coolant and electrolsis. Before I start, has anyone used any type of flush to clean the insides of the cooling system? Any recomendations? I have always used distilled water in my coolings systems along with antifreeze and Redlines water-wetter. Thanks for any guidance.... |

There are a lot of good/safe flushes available. Just make sure it is safe for aluminum engines and follow the directions. You set your heater to hot and do NOT remove the thermostat unless you only want to flush the block and not the radiator.
