In an interesting coicindence, it looks like i might be headed up to the western North Carolina area to pick an RV. long story short, ive been looking for a classic rectrans motorhome for several years (looks like the space shuttle) and i think ive found one dirt cheap, that needs a bit of work. doesnt sound like anything major, probably needs the carb cleaned adjusted and fresh fuel, it seems a great bargain though, and these are extremely rare..And it might be my new home if i dont find work soon

Anyhow, the trip there will put me amazingly close to I-40 and "the Dragon!" , so i will ofcourse partake in the experience while im there. My plan is to have the 931 in good mechanical order by the end of the month, im just a few nuts and bolts and a day or two of labor to having her in good runing order again. shell still look like crap, but i dont care..ill drive up there in 931, run the dragon, and pick up the rv on the return trip and tow the 931 home behind it (if all goes well.)

still closing the deal on the rv(and counting pennies), so i dont have a date yet, but im looking at the later part of april to the beginning of may sometime..

Anyone up for a road rally through these famous roads ??

Oh, man, sounds like loads of fun! When are you going? With my travel schedule and having just taken a week to drive back from Cali, I probably won't be able to join you, but man that looks like a must-drive! Be sure to post progress and pix.
