Jes got home from the mechanix. 9pm since 6:30am. Tired. Anyways, the fuel pressure has begun to go from normal, to about 40, with no changes and no warning. Can't run on 40. And I didn't drive it home. New fuel pumps, new fuel filters, new injector sleeves. Latter is what we were doing. Any ideas? Thanx, D

My pressure was doing something similar as the fuel pump was going bad. -Fixed by replacing the main fuel pump.

Also make sure the flow direction arrow on the front fuel filter is pointing toward the rear. I'm not 100% sure this could be your problem, but have heard (read) that the innerds can shift and block the flow, so might as well check that it's on right.

Only other thing that comes to mind is the pressure regulator in the fuel distributor head. It is responsible for maintaining system-wide pressure. But, of course, if you pump isn't even generating it's "threshhold pressure", then it won't come into play. I'd suspect a bad pump first though.
