Not from personal experience, but from reading similar posts in the past... You should be checking the ballast resistors* on either side of the coil (if you have them) and the wiring to them. Check and clean the connections at the starter also - all, but with special attention to the small wires.
Problem might also be with the ignition module** located on the left-front wheel well.
* - reason being - the engine's wired to send full battery voltage to the starter and coil when the key's in the "start" position, then when released to "ignition on", current to the coil is rerouted through the ballast resistor/s to decrease its' voltage.
** - get your nose down there on it (with igntion switched off ) - if it smells like burnt electrical components, there's a clue. _________________ "..it's made in Germany. You know the Germans always make good stuff."
