... at the mechanics. its getting an oil leak from the cooler fixed and then taken for a WOF (warrant of fitness- NZ's 6 monthly vehicle road worthyness check). Anything it fails on will get fixed. Im getting the belts and filters done at the same time.

The pics attached are as it was on Friday 30 July 04 waiting at the panelbeaters before it was taken to the Porsche mechanics.

Its covered in dust. it'll look good after a wash!. the bonnet looks warped at the sides because it is. i think its just the way it is coming out of the mould (its GRP). I was going to remedy this with bonnet pins before i crashed it. Im still thinking on it... rice or functional?
The 944 front spoiler has a kink in it from being stored in my stepdads shed, but its a temporary measure until I get back from my Op Antarctica posting in Feb '05 and I'll get another one-piece 924CGT front.

Attached below are the bits iI had the Machine Shop at work spin up out of billet aluminium. They are a handbrake lever handle, door locking studs and a new gearshift lever. I also got 3 x brand new elec window switches (ex-Ger), a turbo vent grill and a bonnet badge kit by courier the same day!! Oh! And my phone too! It was an insurance claim replacement for my old phone. Old = Sony-Erricson Z600, new = Motorola V525. The Z600 died when it fell ina toilet dont ask...

The pen is in there for scale

i like the handbrake handle and the door lock studs, but the gearshift lever still needs work. Its far too chunky but the cnc-milled gear shift pattern in the top looks mint!!
