| Do you guys think a car dolly is suitable for towing a 931, oh lets say roughly 80 miles? I`m trying to keep this move on the cheap and looking at u-haul trailers. Thanks..........jP |

dolly will work fine, as long as its not an automatic.. Ive dollied my 924's all over the country, with no special prep..no issues as a result... 80 miles should be a breeze..for longer distances its a good idea to keep an eye on the transaxle to make sure its not getting to hot.. some have disconnected the axels, but i never found it necessary..even on 900 mile plus tows.. _________________ Eric

| If you use a dolly, make sure the ramps will clear the rocker panels on the sides of the ramps. I used a friends dolly to tow a parts car and the rockers got smashed. just something to keep in mind. |

I've used a dolly several times and a trailer a couple of times to move 924/944s.
I prefer the trailer, but the dolly is easier to do. Just don't try backing up with a dolly!
If your cv joints need to be serviced soon, remove the axles before using the dolly, otherwise just do it. |
