Mine is right now in the bunch of the slow ones: it sits right now (I don't drive my 931 in winter), but in June I dynoed 232 HP (adjustable wastegate and front mounted IC).
But the fastest? I take a wild guess and it would be Racings. With all mods he's done, I'd say his beast is near 300.

Soyracer is my guess. He is a Porsche mechanic and he had a larger wastegate spring and intercooler, etc.

Maybe you should ask him.

Rich you out there?

Nice, very nice!

Is that a 4 bolt flange I see welded to the stock manifold?

We've all been waiting for someone to do that!!!

What process was used and do you think it will last?

I'm guessing more than a few of us would like to do this.

The manifold is welded with a special electrode for cast iron.

Well I hope it will last forever

Wow Joakim, great work! I'm curious what you think of the new turbo? And what are you using exactly?

Couple other notes-
I notice you put the exhaust gas temp probe on the #1 runner- any reason? Number 4 usually runs hottest.

Any reason you cut the boost off at 1.55 bar? Intake temps get too high after that? (Also, I assume the VattUt column is intake temp?)

Could you translate the dyno sheet data column names for us? It looks like it reads- rpm, torque, hp, boost, intake temp, ?, ?, lambda (obviously!), exhaust temp.

What are your driving impressions? Smooth idle? How is off-boost power? What compression are you running?

Again, fantastic work! You gotten me very excited to start assembling all my new go-fast pieces.

Regards,
nick

Hallo I will try to answer your questions and i have translated the dyno sheet in my photo galleri

The turbo is a Garret 3037, maybe its little to big for my engine, perhaps I should have used a smaller turbine house to get it better in lower rews,
otherwise when you have the engine at 4000 RPM and open the throttle, its moves a lot

That is the dynomans job, so i could not give you a answer.

Yes one good reason is headgasket problem, I have o-ringed the block but is still is a little problem, but i hope is solved now.

Its no problem to get the boost up to over 2bar we tried when the wastegate broke, the intake temp its aboute 40degree C

My driving impressions is the 3 first gears are very short, the idle its little rumbly at 800 RPM but good on 1000-1100 RPM.
I running a compression at 8,3:1

Off boost power its good, I could put up a dyno sheet without wastegate spring if you want?

Sounds like you've got some excellent results!

Thanks for the dyno translation. This will be great info when I go to tune mine.

wow, nice work!

tis good to see dyno plots and nice pics up online so that other people can really see and understand the work done. (even if the details go above my head!)

i'd imagine it goes like a bat-out-of-hell too..

IMO the exhaust gas sensor is in the correct spot, since what you really want to know is the TIT. (Turbine Inlet Temperature). Then you can mount a TIT gauge in your cockpit.

Every women I ever had in a plane wanted to know what that gauge was all about....
