When i accelerate hard i get a whizzing noise coming from the car,

Would this be the driveshaft/prop shaft /torque tube making a whizzing noise on acceleration?

Any idea what area the noise is coming from? Could it be air rushing through the intake or fuel gushing through the filter?

definatley a mechanical whizzing noise as i feel she's not pulling. it's hard to describe. sounds like an asthmatic turbo if anything...

if there's a power drop there aswell i'd maybe be thinking an exhaust leak, slightly loose spark plug, something on the air intake (between the airbox and the intake manifold i'm thinking)...

If it's coming from further back perhaps the clutch bearing?

Had a sparker that was just a little loose on my old cavalier, was an odd noise it made at the time, took me ages to figure it out... Another one of those things though where you can spend ages trying to track the sound down only to find it's something simple..
