And there was a 959 there!!!

I asked a tech guy there if the fuel enrichment computer would work for the 931. He said it might require different hoses, but otherwise it would work. After the intercooler is up and running, I don't know if I'll be able to help myself...

He said that there was no specific point where the car would run out of fuel, that you'd just have to keep an eye on the air-fuel mixture. I have no idea how much flow the injectors are capable of, nor do I know if the fuel distributor would be the ultimate restriction. FWIW the 964 turbo uses the same injectors (86-94) so I'm guessing they're capable of at least 250 hp from 4 injectors.

Just wanted to pass the info along...

heh heh... now you guys are beginning to understand! We really should be proud of our cars, since they're descended directly from the 930, as much as the Audi 100...

What displacement is the 930? Isn't it a little higher than 2.0L?

The reason I ask is regarding the power output relative to fuel capacity; since we have a smaller displacement, we'll max out earlier without replacing the injectors and other bits, I'd expect. The general agreement of common knowledge among the 937 crowd is that the system is good to about 210hp, at which point more serious mods must be made to keep up.

For now, I plan on getting just this side of that limit with my street car (once the basics are handled and it's solid)... yes, with an intercooler.

Cool keep us informed with what you try and what is successful. Looking for a good 931 right now. One that is close to me. Seems they are all on the wrong coast! Found a nice 1982, but the guy is no longer answering his e-mail..... oh well. Easy come easy go.
He wanted to much anyway.
