Oxygen Sensor Control Unit Swap, 80 & 81 931

I was curious if the Oxygen Sensor Control Unit can be swapped out from a 1980 931 into a 1981 931. The 1980 model shows a different part number than the 1981 & 1982 cars. I purchesed a 1981 931 that is missing the control unit & was wondering if the one I have from my 1980 931 parts car will work?
