The original plastic frame that holds the outer shifter boot to the center console was broken, so I ordered a new one a few years ago. I think it was from partworks.de but I can't find it anymore.
It seems to be held in with 2 plastic wedges per side but the shape of the frame doesn't seem quite right. Its not clicking in firmly and it rattles when I drive.
Anyone know of a quality aftermarket shifter boot frame, or do I need to get an original part? I'm hoping to keep my original shift knob, etc. _________________ George

For the outer plastic frame that holds the outer shift boot to the plastic center console, I replaced mine with one from 944online (https://944online.com/) - but doesn't look like he has them now.
Does look like URO makes a replacement in black, but their parts aren't always highly regarded:
