Hello,
I will reskin to roof of my car. But with a used 924 roof that I sourced for €150 which is not to bad. Why would you want to use a non porsche roof? Is there even anyting that fits? It's not like the porsche roof is terrably expensive, not in the Netherlands atleast.

Thank you, great find. Here they want like $800 for an old roof skin. The one listed from Porsche is cheaper, but nobody could tell me if it is with the sunroof cut our or not....hence my idea, just to use non Porsche ...once it is on..nobody will know.... |

What roof skin do you plan to use? From a vw? Porsche 944 roof might be the same, but I'm not sure.. _________________ Restoring a late 1979 Porsche 924. This is my first car and my first attempt at restoring a car.

The entire roof is pretty unlikely you will find anything similar.
But just the sunroof area, that cant be impossible, its pretty flat.
Make two wooden templates of the curvature of the roof, one in each dimension, then go out to a scrapyard and look for a suitable candidate on another car.
944 and 924 are the same, but cars without the targa roof is pretty rare. _________________ /Magnus, Stockholm Sweden

Just remove all the unnecessary mechanisms and weld in the sunroof panel that you have perhaps? |

The sunroof panels are fiberglass. |
